Brian began his career in the insurance industry after serving as part of an elite airborne unit in the United States military. His first position was as a field agent for Met Life. From there, he transitioned to focus on sales management.
Brian founded and ran Insurance Wholesalers, Inc, starting in 1991. Under his leadership, the company reached $75 million in annual premium. It was at this time that he sold Insurance Wholesalers, Inc in 2006 to the Fortune 500 company, Fiserv.
From the time of the sale until December 2008, Brian served as the divisional president for Fiserv. This is when he decided to re-purchase Insurance Wholesalers, Inc. This company served as the foundation for what is now Asurea, Inc. Brian brought together many compatible companies along with a top management team to make this happen.
In addition to his role as Chairman of the Board at Asurea, Brian is a co-founder for the EPIC Corporation, one of the country’s largest consortiums that reached more than $100 million of annual premium. He’s also on the advisory board for three different carriers.
Brian and his wife Gerilee make their home in Nevada’s Incline Village. He enjoys playing in his band – Eat Cake, and traveling as much as he can. He is also an avid skier, taking advantage of all the beautiful ski resorts in the Tahoe area.
